Watchet

Watchet is a harbour town which lies at the mouth of the Washford River on the Bridgwater Bay. With an active marina, old port, charming houses and shops, Watchet is a great place take a break and soak up the atmosphere.

A statue of the Ancient Mariner can be found in Watchet Harbour – a tribute to Samuel Taylor Coleridge who wrote The Rime of the Ancient Mariner whilst travelling through Watchet. The West Somerset Railway also passes through Watchet.
